We rarely see families and group of friends staying outdoors for an afternoon talk or an evening barbeque party these days. In our neighborhood, it was a common site before but it was not anymore. Global warming is just too much. The heat seemed unbearable already. Staying indoors was the in thing to do. We were especially worried that people might just think that outdoor activities were extinct already. It was something unhappy. To date, my mom is already 57 years old and still writing. I still picture her today, writing under those canopies.  I guess she finds happiness as she drifts away in her own world, not be disturbed. Her grandchildren knew she is not to be bothered. But we still watch her pen away those stories by the window.
