The Peace Practice

My sister’s house is a big Victorian House.  She has a large porch and large yard as well.  The landscaping is perfectly done.  It is a picturesque.  Yet, the only thing that seems to block its beauty is the gates.  It is such a waste to be having such a beautiful house and rich landscape and not let people see. 

One day while my sister and I were sitting in her porch, I suggested she changed her concrete gates to wrought iron gates. She was hesitant at first with the idea.  She was used to having a gate wherein no one sees from the outside.  Added to that is her worries that the gates will not be done and it will just ruin her view.  I then told her about the company that did our gates in the school.  They had done such a good job and their designs are very unique.  For her porch, I suggested Victorian stair railings to match her house.  When I opened the site and let her view the profile of the company and their craftsmanship, she was convinced it may be a good idea.

When the gates are replaced, my sister is so happy she agrees to my suggestion.  According to her, she can now see the outsides of the gates and it makes her look farther more.  The beauty of her house is not hidden anymore.  As for the stairs, it enhances the beauty of her house too.  The company is a word of her mouth when a friend or guests comes in to visit her.

My boss invited our group to have dinner at his house. We’re not sure whether to comply or make excuses not to go. But, since our boss asked us “nicely” we have no choice but to agree. We were surprised when he was the one that prepared dinner for us. I didn’t know that my boss could cook. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the different delicacies. After the meal he invited us to take a look at his kitchen. It was gorgeous! He said that the kitchen remodeling was done a few days ago by a professional kitchen remodeling contractor that he personally knew.

We thanked him for his hospitality and went home afterwards. On the way back, I kept on thinking if I could get someone to remodel my kitchen. I really liked the design of the kitchen that my boss showed us and wondered what it will be like to have the same kitchen at home. With those thoughts in mind I visited several websites to check the different designs that they offer. I’m determined to give my kitchen a makeover in a few weeks.

The hot summer days are finally here and the only way to get through everyday living is to keep your cool. But what if it gets too hot for comfort? This is when I decided that I should get myself an AC.  I visited the air conditioning Tampa, a company that specializes in AC’s and other cooling systems. They have a lot of options to choose from. I went to their store and asked for the latest and most affordable AC’s that they have in stock. They presented me with the unit and I fell in love with it. I didn’t think twice and I bought it right away. When it was installed, the effect was instant. It was cool and relaxing. A friend happens to visit and asked me where did I get my new AC.

I told her that I got it from an ac company in Tampa and I recommended that if she was in need of affordable and durable AC’s then that is the place to visit. I don’t have to worry about too much heat anymore. With my new AC in place I have nothing to worry about. The heat won’t get to me and I will feel comfortably cool every day. This is the way that I decided to spend my summer days with.

My priceless possession is my car. This is one of the things I got myself as soon as I got myself a stable job. It was a smooth ride until life drastically changed for me. I met the woman of my dreams, got married and had a kid. Actually, it did not stop there because we had more an more kids. I now have four and all of them go to school. So, my car is the only thing of value I have ever owned. Through the years after all the carpooling my car is about to die down and I badly need a new one. But, how can I do that when I have a bad credit? That’s when I decided I will find a way no matter what.

My mom asked a few of her friends for a get together at our house. She asked me to find colorful outdoor umbrellas to be placed at our backyard. I told her that awnings would probably do a better job than the umbrellas. She insisted that the idea of having umbrellas is better and would look cuter on our backyard. Well, I guess she is right in her own way.

After an hour or two I manage to find a shop that sells outdoor umbrellas. After a few “sales talk” I manage to get a discount and also asked if they have awnings available. The staff said that they have a lot of awnings with different colors and designs to choose from. I made a mental note to come back after a few weeks to get an awning for our windows (no, not the backyard). My mom’s friends loved the idea of the umbrellas. They were like little children gossiping about this and that, and laughing every now and then about certain topics that reminds them of the good old days. Well, as for me I’m content to see my mom having fun. At least, I’ll be having some peace and quiet for a change.

When I was a kid, I considered the dentist and their clinic is the scariest place on earth (seriously!). Well in most cases, a lot of children (and some more mature people) share my thoughts and sentiments. But going to the dentist is our only salvation when it comes to tooth problems, that goes with the saying “whether we like it or not”. Almost everyone have their own family dentist. Some families stick to one dentist for generations, probably because of their skills and reputation. Get some friendly advice from your dentist and get whiter teeth.

Taking care of our teeth is our responsibility. That is what I was always told when I was young. I took that seriously, partly because of my fear of dentists (kids have a lot of people to be afraid off, and a dentist is on the top of their list). Well now as an adult I’m not scared anymore. I learned the importance of having them around. They are the scariest people, which only have our best interest in mind. So next time you go to the dentist, don’t be too scared. They don’t bite; they are only there to help.

As a Financial Analyst of a fast-growing gasoline company, I am designated with handling all the revenues that come in and out of the company.  I get to visit and travel around the world and check on the ledger of each existing branch.  These transactions are not done within the country only.  During one of our meetings and looking for resolution on how to lower down the underlying cost yet maintaining an excellent customer service, we decided to use VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) system.  We used IBM SAN system to make sure that all the information transmitted in the video conferencing is properly stored.

Since we would have to upgrade our systems, we need to dispose some of our IBM Storage racks, servers and other device.  For the IT equipment that can still be refurbished and reuse, we asked our supplier to recycle them, reassess the value and resell them.  For the devices and equipment that are no longer reusable, they would dispose them properly in accordance to the state law governing preserving the planet.

Being a Financial Analyst allows me to be creative in making the budget in the company be more feasible to everyone.  But the most rewarding is the fact that I am able to help Mother Nature as well.

I have a business of my own. I am always busy and on the go. For a business like ours, we would need good computer servers. So I have decided to look for a good website.

My colleagues have been mentioning loads of different websites to check out. Unfortunately some of them do not have the products that I need. I was about to lose when suddenly I came across this Used IBM website. I browsed through their featured products and in an instant I knew that I had to contact them.

After a week, I had my computer servers in my office. The IBM parts website has made it possible for my products to be easily delivered. The process was so hassle free and speedy. I was really glad to have found them for they seem to know all the things that I need and want when it comes to doing purchases online.

Today my servers are working perfectly. I have never encountered a problem just yet. This website has actually stated that if ever I had a product not functioning well, they would exchange this with a brand new one. I actually thought that this was a good way of taking care of their clients, but when I also heard that it would be free of charge, I was really sure that this website was something special. Good job!

My friend and I decided to set up an online order placement shop at my house. We agreed that we will start with 2^nd hand devices so that we can save a lot in our expenditures and also to maximize our starting capital in its use.

So we started checking on several stores and sites that sell used devices. We already bought three 2^nd hand computers and decided that we opt to have a devise that connect these computers into one server and that we also ought to have an IP telephone systems for communication purposes. Luckily we came across this site that sells used Cisco hardware. We check on it and were awed by how cheap those used Cisco networking devices that would be of great use to our business. So we ordered in switches, routers memory for easy storage and an IP telephone system that we badly needed.

After a day our product arrived and after installing it, was glad that it performs as if we only bought new ones. We also saved a lot and we maximize our investments. Now, after a year of successful operation, we thought of expanding and the first thing that comes in our minds was to contact the site again.

I really find it hard to look for great t shirts to wear during the weekends.  You see, I am on the chubby side so there is a limited selection for great shirts available in the malls. Since there are limited choices, I immediately buy one as soon as I see a shirt that looks great on me not mindful of the price tag.  That is why I sometimes get surprised whenever I do an accounting of where my money went and see the money I spent buying clothes.

So when I saw this site that had great designs and a size that could accommodate my body type, I was literally jumping for joy!  I loved the funny t shirts that were made for women wearers. I ordered several right away! Ordering was easy and delivery was inexpensive. The day that I wore one of the shirts, I got a lot of inquiries as to where I bought it and I referred them to the shop’s website. A week later, I saw some of them wearing familiar looking shirts and I realized that the designs were from the online store where I bought mine!  Talk about setting a trend in school!
