The Peace Practice

I passed four billboards, three benches and six busses with this guy’s name and face on them and I still do not know what he does. I am pretty sure that he is not an actor or a lawyer but he must be really good at what he does, or he just likes looking at himself. I think that his name if Danny DeMichele and he is not too bad to look at but I still want to know what he does.

I decided to look him up on the internet when I got into my office and was pleasantly surprised to find out that he may be just the person that I am looking for. I was put in charge of turning our really bad company website around and paying any expense to get it done.

I called the Danny DeMichele but I got his secretary. I left a message with her for him to see if he would call me back directly or have one of his many workers make the call. Two hours later, Danny DeMichele called me to discuss what he could do to the company site to make if much better than it currently was. I was very impressed with the way things went and hired him to start working on it as soon as possible.

The used sun hardware company that just opened up in town is part of a bigger warehouse online company that sells a lot of their products over the internet. I had been looking for some used sun equipment to replace some of the older ones that I have in my office and had actually come across their site online. I was happy to think that I may be able to just drive into town and get the things that I needed at the prices that they had online.

I called ahead and asked if they had the few used sun hardware things I needed and they assured me that they did. I arrived to find a very big crowd of people at the store; I guess that maybe everyone else had the same idea that I did, come and get it in hand right away and not wait for the shipping. I finally got to the front of the line and told the cashier that I had called ahead and placed my own order for the used sun equipment and she went to the back to find it.

I was glad when she returned with everything that I had requested in the phone call to this store. I was even happier when she charged me less than what I would have paid online. I guess that since the store was having a grand opening, they were giving the customers a twenty percent discount off of their regular prices.

Our office had been searching for a company that sells used dell tower servers for low prices and was not having any luck. Then, the guy who delivers our paper supplies overheard a few people talking about it and suggested that we check out the website that his company uses. When they got on it, they were amazed at the low prices of the used dell servers and the variety also.

Some of the products on the site do not have prices on them, and you have to call and get pricing. I think that this is mainly because the market on the dell servers changes and the demand determines the prices. I called on several of the dell servers that would work for our office and they were very affordable.

It took about three days to get the purchase approved but it was. The entire office was excited about finally having the kind of used dell servers that we thought would help to run our office much more smoothly. We had to hire a separate team to come in and switch over the old to the new servers since none of us had ever done it before. I made sure that I was there to observe the installers, so that I would how to fix them if they ever went down.

A local vinyl siding contractor was working on our neighbor’s house next door, and I went over to ask if he would come to my house and give me an estimate after he finished the job he was on. He agreed and came over later that afternoon to have me show him what I wanted done. I had added on a garage, and the vinyl siding contractor that had originally done the work, did not match up the siding like it should have been. I asked him if he could fix it and he informed me that the only way to fix it, was to tear it all off and start over.

I was not too thrilled to hear it but knew that it had to be done, in order to make the house look better. My wife is always talking about how embarrassed she is to have her friends see the way the garage looks.

It was very frustrating to have had all that work done, and then have to do some of it over. I had added the garage, replaced the roof and installed vinyl replacement windows all within a three month period. Now, we had to go through some construction again. This would hopefully not be as bad as the roof and the installation of the vinyl replacement windows because all of it would be done outside.

I was asked by my neighbor if I had ever heard of one way links and I had to tell him that I had not. He started to tell me how he had just paid this website company to start link building for him to help his site rank better. I did not know that he even had a site but he informed me that he had started a website that gave people tips about gardening. I did think that he knew a lot about gardening and was curious to see his site.

A couple of days later he told me that the one way links must be working because he went from being on page twenty for gardening tips, to page ten. That seemed like a big jump, so I guess the only thing to explain the big jump was the link building being done by the web company. I was very happy for him and told him that I did have a chance to check out the site and was very impressed. I had been telling all of my friends and family to check it out and read up on some of the tips because I knew that he knew what he was talking about.
