Benefits that you derive with laser engraver

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

When you use the laser engraving equipment for marking any object, it is using beam of light for marking them instead of the traditional hard contact objects for engraving. The major advantage is since there is no contact there is also less wear and tear to the tools used for the purpose and the resultant costs are reduced to large extent. On the other hand due to use of non contact tool the chances of damages to the product due to inept use of the tool or accidental contact is also minimized. Since there are no consumables, there are also no toxic by products that occur in many of the traditional methods of engraving.

Laser engraver will produce such a mark that is quite crisp, clean and durable. The work of engraving can be performed much faster with the laser than with the traditional tools. Since the process is very fast it also provides a lot of scope for versatility in the choice of materials.

On several occasions you can use the laser cutter for the engraving works in addition to its original task of cutting through the materials. The old laser engraver was a large and cumbersome machine that was very difficult to handle. With the immense technological developments, the equipments of today are much better and compact and can be handled with convenience. The safety issues that made the earlier machines cumbersome no longer exist to day with decline in the size of the machines.

Pipes and transport :

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Pipes have been a major choice of transport for chemicals and other fluid gasses in factories for a major segment of time. Industrial piping is a technology that is pursued by many today. This is a major area in the field of development of industries as more and more methods of piping can be used to connect two industries to two nations.

Pipes are the most convenient and safest way of transporting hazardous chemicals from one point to another. This is because a fluid travels fastest at its free flow through a metal tubing. Pressure valves are present after every equal distance that prevents the pressure from building up and causing damage or leakage in pipes. Also maintenance of pipes is very essential for the maximum performance of the pipes.

The most common problem of the pipes is metal corrosion. This reduces the efficiency of the pipes to transport the fluid as corrosion cause blockage in the pipes and obstructs the flow. Also corrosion would react in unfavorable ways with the fluid in the pipe and this can lead to drastic chemical activities.

As such lot of time and money is spent on corrosion protection of the pipes. If uncared for the pipes have to be changed every third month which would bring about a lot of losses for the company. Hence it is better to adopt anti corrosion methods to keep the pipe safe and working at 100% efficiency.
