Filling Your Closet with Only the Best
Most closets are filled with endless numbers of shirts, blouses, pants, skirts, etc. that are never worn. Many people find a handful of outfits and tend to wear them on a regular rotation rather than utilizing all the clothing they have. This isn’t to say they don’t have nice things. They may simply need a creative boost to make some of their older clothing work with today’s styles. Or perhaps they just need to spring for a new wardrobe altogether.
Throwing out old clothing is not a waste. At least, it isn’t a waste if you put it in the right place. Most things you can give away to secondhand stores that will sell them inexpensively, giving less fortunate people an opportunity to buy nice clothing at reasonable prices. You should only throw away things with unfixable tears or stains. Even if it is a piece of Gucci clothing, you should not give something nasty to Goodwill. They have standards for that sort of thing. But if you have a nice piece of Gucci or Prada clothing that you no longer wear, you have another option.
Some secondhand shops will buy nicer used clothes. You might be able to get some extra cash by selling your old Bottega Veneta to one of these stores. If they offer a decent price you could use it to buy yourself some new clothes. If they don’t offer much then you can feel better about giving it to Goodwill for free. It is a win-win situation for everyone!
